Hitonic MIDlet Protector - About Types of Protection

The following protection types are available.

• Simple banner
• Simple password
• Runtime limitation
• Launch date limitation
• Launch count limitation
• Send SMS message

Simple banner

This type of protection displays additional information during the MIDlet launch. There are some options defining how to display the banner text. It is displayed for the specified time or until a key is pressed.

Simple password

Launching the MIDlet will require the password. There is an option defining the MIDlet lock type. The lock type may be "Once" (the MIDlet first launch) or "Always" (every time the MIDlet is launched).

Runtime limitation

Once the MIDlet is launched for the first time, the date will be saved. There is an option defining the number of days it will be possible to launch the MIDlet for. After this time expires, the MIDlet will be locked. The additional information screen can be displayed during the MIDlet launch.

Launch date limitation

The "Last work date" option is available. After that date the MIDlet will be locked. The additional information screen can be displayed during the MIDlet launch.

Launch count limitation

The "Number of launches" option is available. After the MIDlet is launched the specified number of times, it will be locked. The additional information screen can be displayed during the MIDlet launch.

Send SMS message

Launching the MIDlet will require the user to send SMS message. The phone number and the text for the SMS message are specified in the options. The SMS message is sent only during the first launch of the MIDlet. Phones or other devices compatible with the Wireless Messaging API are required.
